Pneumatic Spindle Drives
The pneumatic or air motor drive has these advantages:
- Service supply is simple piping
- Easy installation, usually by plant personnel
- Problems are easily diagnosed
- Compact package size
The pneumatic motor drive has some potential problems. They are:

Large volumes of compressed air may be required
